Rhyme is always a great source of fun with years 1 and 2. Throw in some word association, drawing, cutting out and sticking to build a ‘poet-tree’ and you’ve got a creative day!
Sometimes you might prefer a ‘songwriting’ day. You choose the theme (it could be anything from ‘The Senses’ to ‘British Values’) and we’ll let my guitar and the children do the rest. A big sing-a-long in assembly at the end of the day is always a favourite!
